VenueWiki exists because the AV industry runs on tribal knowledge that doesn't scale. Which patch bay feeds the ballroom. Which dock has the timed boom gate. The DSP password the last guy never wrote down. Every tech relearns it the hard way, every venue, every time — and when someone leaves a job, what they knew walks out with them.
Twenty-five years on tools taught me two things. Every time i've shared what i know, it's come back tenfold — better gigs, better days, people who smile when they hear my name. And gatekeeping is a short game: it doesn't protect anyone, it just makes everyone slower. Including the gatekeeper.
So: a wiki. Crew write the pages, crew correct the pages, and the next tech walks in already knowing. The calendar sync exists because your shifts shouldn't need three apps to end up where you actually look.
No investors, no ads, no selling your data. Just a tech who thinks an industry where crew leave their knowledge behind is a better industry — for the techs, the venues, and the shows.
